Religious Extremism: Intellectual and Doctrinal Deviance in Islam
Author: Ayatullah Salehi Najafabadi
Translated By: Dr. Hamid Mavani
Religious Extremism is a great book written by Ayatullah Salehi Najafabadi, originally written in Persian, in the holy city of Qum, Iran translated in Canada by Dr. Hamid Mavani in 2009.
This book is a well-constructed book covering all the extremism and exaggerations in Islam. It talks about false narrations narrated in order to rise the status of the caliphs i.e. water in a golden bowl coming down to Abu Bakr from heaven, names of the caliphs on leaves in heaven.
It covers exaggerations regarding certain books such as Sahih Bukhari, al- Kafi, and covers certain exaggerations regarding certain companions and people who lived in the time of the Prophet and Imams (as)
It also covers most of the fabrications, extremism and over exaggerations regarding the Imams of Ahlulbait (as) and highlights the fabrications which were fabricated in order to raise the status of the Imams of Ahlulbait (as), and exposes those who had lied about the Imams, and why such fabrications were fabricated about our pure Imams.
I think it is a great book, which I highly recommend all our Shias to read it, especially those who have built their views over fabrications and exaggerations on the Imams, and have given our Imams features which non but Allah hold.
